Like Mother, Like Daughter – We share a love of creating beauty in peoples’ lives
Red Door Interiors and RD Shady were 40 years in the making. As a child I use to go to my friends’ homes and rearrange the furniture in their bedrooms, hang things on the walls and happily create what I thought was a beautiful space. My lovely and creative Mom would volunteer her time and efforts freely to friends and family to organize, paint, sew and move heavy things for the pure joy that she got as a result of making a space inviting and fabulous. If this was a “sickness” we were happy to have it. Because of this unique interest in creating beautiful spaces we eventually opened Red Door Interiors and ultimately invented RD Shady.
Our background is financially humble and not extravagant. Our friends and family were always amazed by how much we could do with so little money. We have the eye and appreciation for high design but we could never afford the price tag associated with it. It became our collective passion to provide beautiful homes for fellow budget watchers.
